Saw the previous photo and it reminded me of the ‘chicks’ we have at my work, I love playing with these tiny yellow fuzzy things :D

Forget to breathe properly sometimes? I swear I sometimes I just about stop breathing and it freaks me out O_O
I’m just tumblr-ing or doing whatever, getting a bit zen, and all of a sudden I notice it’s super quiet. All I can hear is the clock ticking, the cats snuffling and the funny low blllrrrmmmm noise my roller ball mouse makes. I’m breathing sooooo slowly and shallow-ly that I don’t think anyone else could tell I was breathing.
I just read that back before hitting “Create post” and it sounds like I’m high, I’m not, I’m just weird and often have wonderings.
Day 8: What’s your most challenging project?

This beast I guess. It’s not got anything complicated, anything exciting, anything even remotely interesting going for it. But if you take a non-knitter to a wool shop and let them pick ANY yarn and then ANY pattern for that yarn…. well then you’ve just shot yourself in the foot. I’ve got no one to blame but myself. It’s the most boring, most torturous, coma inducing knitting I’ve ever done in my LIFE.
I was looking through my past projects on Ravelry trying to decide which was trickiest but the truth of the matter is that EVERYTHING was really challenging, until I learnt how to do it. Even purls seemed daunting in that first month. So even though cables were a mystery I thought only Stephen-Hawking-level clever people could knit at one point, I can now do them without taxing myself too much.
So the project that has been most challenging is this jumper, purely for the way it manages to suck all the happiness I usually get from knitting and turn it into tar-black loathing. It’s gotten so bad that after I’ve put the needles down I have to hug the bit I’ve just finished to put the ‘love’ back in. I really don’t want the bad funk to stick to it permanently.
Day 7: Your least favorite?
This honor goes to a very pretty hat that caused me such an incredible amount of annoyance. It is my Indian Summer hat. The yarn was awful and it couldn’t keep my interest because of that. I made a whole bag full of mistakes and wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if I wear it one day and the whole thing unravels. It is pretty though.

Definitely my Bear-head, well, I should say my blokes bear-head! It was a last minute solution to him not having a costume for a party, it’s a balaclava with bear ears and it’s awesome!!
I had been stumbling around in the dark just behind a woman who I knew. The power had just gone off and we were searching for the fuse box which was just beside the exit. There were no windows down here and it was laid out like a shopping mall. Different areas were fenced off and it had that slightly stale smell you find underground. After a while we kept seeing a sort of shadow closing doors ahead of us, it looked like someone else was wandering about, but we didnt shout so as not to wake the people huddled in the darkened rooms to either side of us. The shadowy figure seemed to be going the same way we were so we followed until we finally found the double doors leading to the outside, there was a strange orange glow coming from the two rectangular panes. Opening the heavy fireproof door very carefully and quietly, we slipped outside and walked up the stairs. At the top I stood in awe, struck silent as terror enveloped me.
The night sky was full of vapor trails lit up orange-red from fires in the distance. As I stood gaping at the scene a whistling whine screeched over head and a missile arced gracefully in our direction. A long way up it burst with a wave of noise and split into 8 different bombs that spidered their way to the ground.
The person that had been in front of us in the dark was on his knees, sobbing and heaving with a phone pressed to his ear. He heard us approaching and turned saying, “It’s North Korea, they’re destroying everything.”
- I woke up shivering and sweating from that dream and all that kept flashing through my mind was “Prophetic dream!! Prophetic dream!!”. Annoyingly, where I live there tends to be an orange glow from the street lights so I had a complete freak out once I was fully awake.
I don’t know if these sorts of stories/dreams are well received on Tumblr or if it’s all TL;DR. I usually have a couple per night though and I love sharing them, if anyone is interested in reading them.
